The Balkan Wars started when Austria-Hungary rightfully annexed Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Serbs became angered and set there ambitions of expansion towards the south where a weak and dying Ottoman Empire lay. Then, a greedy Bulgaria found itself turning on its own allies because of its disappointment with what it received after the First Balkan War. Serbia, Greece, and Romania came together to fight the Bulgarians and where so focused on teaching Bulgaria a lesson that a sneaky Ottoman Empire moved north and reclaimed taken land. During the Balkan Wars, countries found in the Balkans join forces and set themselves up for a strong brotherhood for years to come.
