The Pig War (1906)
The Pig War arose more conflict among Austria-Hungary and Serbia. The Serbians had a lot of economic stability from Austria-Hungary. A lot of the Serbian pork was purchased by Austria-Hungary. Serbia wanted to avoid depending on Austria-Hungary so they began to start trade amongst France and Bulgaria. This would allow Serbia to gain more economic dependence from allied countries instead of a country they had conflicts with. In response, Austria-Hungary created a blockade, this angered Serbians and created more tension amongst their relationship. After, Serbia sold their pork to France; increasing tension between Austria-Hungary and Serbia.
